Astrid Fund Raising Summary

Astrid Assistance Association - January 20, 2021

This group came together to help convert creations of Astrid into money for Zander. There were a lot of volunteers and many hours of labor to make this happen.

Non-money generating activities included the clean up of the physical property inside and out. There is no estimate of hours volunteered but it included several weekends and a major long clean out the house activity. Family members coordinated and assisted with all stages and removed at least 8 large roll- away dumpsters in the process.

At least 10 very full car or truck loads of clothing and some miscellaneous household goods were transported to charity organizations.

Money transferred to the family through these activitiees is approximately $11,000. This amount is the proceeds after the overhead costs of storage rentals and other expenses such as shipping not covered by sales.

A basic breakdown of funds generated from various activities:

1) T-shirts with the newly created Astrid Memorial image will continue to be sold $10 plus shipping. Another pickup event will be held after Valentine’s Day.

2) Additional sales of the vintage clothing and jewelry.

3) Additional creations based on Astrid’s patterns will be offered later in 2021!

You may have heard about the massive stamp collection. We found a good home for it, but kept a box of random stamps that had no value, for friends who would like some free art supplies.
