A day in the life of Buttercup and Coco. Buttercup got some mud for the first time! She’s scared to go outside and try new things, which is understandable since she was stuck in a crate her whole life before us. She loved it. Coco likes to root around in the dirt. They are thriving here at 🐷

As we were driving through the field after feeding dinner, we see a piece of trash laying in the middle of the field. We have been cleaning up this ranch since we bought it, there was trash everywhere but this was out of place. I go to investigate.

IT WAS MY ZINC CREAM.

I use it on the pigs ears to prevent sunburn. I left it laying next to Eddie’s pen in the shade so i could easily apply and some feral animal stole it and ripped the lid off with their dumb teeth and ATE it. It was almost full!

I wondered why i couldn’t find it the past few days. 😾

This is why we can’t have nice things.

The story of Hope. We networked hard and found a home for a mom pig and her two sons who were urgent at the shelter. At the last minute, the home fell through. We had already made a commitment to save them so we took them in. Two weeks later we found out there is another one of Peggy's piglets at the shelter! Animal control had picked her up later. So we went and got her so the family can be reunited. She's an
absolute sweetie and we are in love.
so happy we could get the fam together! 🐷

Streets is already feeling better. She ate lunch standing up and is walking around! Even went out for a few minutes and got fresh air. What a cutie. 🐷

Sweet piggie getting her first medicated bath to kill the mites. Enjoy a glimpse of our real life banter as my kids and friend are all watching and supporting. If you haven't been following along be sure to follow us as we will post her entire journey of healing! This pig was found on the streets in San Bernardino California, emaciated and covered in mange. She was at the shelter less than 24 hours when they put on a medical deadline which means they were going to euthanize due to her poor condition. We brought her into our sanctuary and are giving her love, slowly feeding her so CA she can get used to eating again, and lots of cozy blankets 💞

Our sweet little street girl survived the night!!! Probably the coziest she’s been in a long time-or ever 🥺 she ate her breakfast and drank an entire bowl of water 💧
Today is bath day, I wanted to give her at least a good nights sleep and made sure she didn’t have severe hypothermia before I put her into water. Her skin is horrible with the mites, open sores, and the smell is ghastly.
If you’d like to help us by donating and sharing, it’s always appreciated. She’s got pain meds on board, we are using Ivermectin and medicated shampoo, Chlorahexidine spray, heating pad and heat lamp, as well as lots of disposable p*e pads and gloves.
