R.I.P. I am asking everyone to please have a moment of silence for the United States Navy Seal Team and their families. Their helicopter was shot yesterday in Afghanistan and they lost 30 members of the team. It would be nice to see this on everyone's page... even if it's only for an hour. From The County Of Riverside: County of Riverside Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington, the Riverside County Superior Court and the Economic Development Agency are pleased to announce the Ribbon Cutting of the Southwest Juvenile Courthouse scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Speaking at the Ribbon Cutting event is 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington and Honorable Mark A. Cope, Past Presiding Judge, Riverside County Superior Court.

The new Southwest Juvenile courthouse is now the 15th and newest Courthouse in Riverside County, and the first Courthouse built in more than 15 years. The new courthouse is 14,381 sq. ft. and fills a critical need for the County of Riverside and Superior Court of California in providing juvenile and delinquency courtrooms, a secured direct access corridor from Southwest Juvenile Hall, judge's chambers and administrative offices.

The new secured corridor is a tremendous asset both in safety and efficiencies for the Probation Department, allowing direct transporting of youth from facility to facility without being exposed to the outside.
