Alpaca is easier and less expensive to process than sheep's wool due to its lack of

lanolin. It also produces a higher yield of clean fiber after processing than wool. Aged alpaca manure is another natural product used as fertilizer that is rich in nutrients, light in weight, dry and minimal odor when dried in the natural sunlight. Temecula Valley Alpacas provides private group and individual educational tours, alpaca fiber processing and end product education and free fertilizer to local farmers.
