Wellness Solutions & Sustainable, Non-Toxic Education for Healthier Spaces
We are a community-driven, grassroots organization that is passionate about improving the quality of life of children affected by childhood cancer and dedicated to helping families heal and thrive. Our Mission
Empowering and educating families b
y providing curriculum-based activities focusing on wellness solutions and sustainable, non-toxic spaces. Our programs are now a deconstruction of our beloved Rooms to Thrive™ program that will excite and inform families on ways to improve their family's quality of life and contribute to their children's thrivorship while providing community amongst our communities. Our community-partnered events allow families from all backgrounds to connect and support families at different stages of their child's cancer journey—and bear their burdens alongside them. Today, nearly 70,000 adolescents and young adults ages 15 to 39 years are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year. Source
Every year an estimated 250,000+ new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. Every day approximately - 250 kids around the world die from cancer - 91,250 kids who lose their lives to cancer every year. Translation, 91,250 parents will grieve the loss of their children and in most cases, suffer Post Traumatic Stress Symptoms. Out of the 250,000+ new cases of children diagnosed a fraction of them will survive cancer and in a direct correlation 15% of these children are diagnosed with anxiety, 10% are diagnosed with depression and another 15% are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Research shows that sustainable design strategies can be found in the frameworks and principles of complementary and alternative medicine - basically, a well renovated space has been proven to improve the quality of life, promote strength, imagination, self-worth and aid in the recovery process. These sad and staggering statistics along with our personal experience is why we’ve created the Carsyn Neille Foundation. Providing hope and comfort to families affected by childhood through the transformation of their interior home spaces, providing them a sanctuary and catapulting them towards healing and thriving will reach the multitudes and have a huge impact with the childhood cancer community.
