We have our 4th Annual Golf Tournament on September 18, 2026. It’s sure to be another fun-filled day and we’re excited to welcome you all! Registration is officially open so get your spots now! If you’re interested in being a sponsor, the same registration page will allow you to view those options as well!

🐾 Happy Retirement to a Very Special Duo! 🐾

Join us in celebrating Rick Reichel and his incredible therapy dog, Max, as they officially retire from the Temecula Valley Hospital Pet Therapy Program!

Rick adopted Max at a PetSmart adoption event back in December 2015. Whether Max is a Husky, a Samoyed, or a Wooly Husky, one thing is for sure: he is 100% pure sweetness. Known for his super mellow vibe, Max’s specialty has always been lying down, relaxing, and offering gentle comfort to everyone he meets.

After joining our TVH team in 2018, returning to spread joy after COVID, and serving faithfully through July 2026, Max (now a distinguished gentleman of at least 12.5 years old!) is taking a well-deserved rest.

If you’ve ever seen Max arriving in style in the sidecar of Rick’s motorcycle wearing his famous “doggles” 😎 (yes, doggles!), you know just how special this team is.

Thank you, Rick and Max, for the endless smiles, comfort, and paws-itive impact you’ve made on our patients, staff, and hospital community. Enjoy your retirement, Max! 🐾❤️🛵

What a wonderful initiative! Community partnerships like the one between Temecula Valley Hospital and Michelle’s Place make such a huge difference—equipping volunteers with first-hand knowledge ensures patients and families get connected to the right support services right when they need them most.

Kudos to Elayne for organizing the visit, and thank you to all the volunteers for taking the time to stay connected and informed for the Temecula community!

In Loving Memory of Zamara 🐾💖 (July 15, 2026)
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our Pet Therapy dog, Zamara. Zamara lived a life so big, so vibrant, and so full of purpose:

👑 AKC Show Champion: Multi-titled and ranked Top 10 in the Nation in 2018.
🎬 Hollywood Star: She graced our screens in commercials and even played Scooby-Doo! You might remember her as the star of Ford’s “Running with the Big Dog” commercial, which aired all through the 2018 football season and during the 2019 Super Bowl.
🩺 Temecula Valley Hospital Therapy Dog: For nearly 7 years, Thursdays were her absolute favorite days. Dressed in her signature tutu making her rounds.

Zamara loved the nurses’ pods—thank you to all the TVH staff for showering her with endless love and her favorite butt scratches! But above all, she had a rare, deeply intuitive gift. She always knew who needed her most. Whether it was leaning gently against a visiting family member or resting her head softly on a patient’s hand, watching her work was nothing short of miraculous. Zamara and Janet shared an unbreakable bond.

🐾 Spreading Joy & Comfort, One Paw at a Time! 🐾

We recently received this heartwarming voicemail from a patient’s family member that reminded us exactly why our volunteers do what they do:

“Hi Jean, I just wanted to call and thank you for being so kind and gentle to my mother while she was at Temecula Valley Hospital. She said her biggest spirits came from your visit... Thank you for comforting my mother. I appreciate volunteers like you.”

A massive thank you to our incredible volunteer, Jean, and her faithful pet therapy partner, Cooper! 🐶❤️

Hospitals can be stressful, but a wagging tail, a gentle touch, and a moment of pure comfort can make all the difference in a patient’s healing journey. We also want to give a special shout out to the hospital volunteer chaplain who was there to provide comfort and spiritual care alongside Jean and Cooper during this visit.

Our volunteers truly are the heart of Temecula Valley Hospital. Thank you, Jean and Cooper, for lifting spirits and bringing so much love to our patients and their families! 🌟

Huge shoutout and a massive thank you to our incredible volunteer foundation champions - Mark Devilbiss, Elayne Vanassse and Kathy Parkes!
They spent the day out on the course working the Michelle’s Place Golf Tournament, representing our foundation with pride and supporting a fantastic community cause. We love seeing our team out there making a difference. While they were out greeting golfers, they also spread the word about our own upcoming event. Marks your calendars golf fans!
