60 days after President Trump signed proclamations shrinking Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments, mining bans have now been lifted across roughly 2.9 million acres. This puts Indigenous homelands at risk, as well as wildlife habitat, clean air and water, and the freedom of future generations to experience these places.

These monuments belong to all of us. Most Utah voters support restoring monument protections, not opening these landscapes to new mining.

Good News: A Montana District Court has temporarily blocked the Trump admin’s plans to remove more than 900 bison from federal land in Montana. The decision means American Prairie, which has grazed bison on federal lands in Montana for more than 20 years, will not need to cull or relocate hundreds of bison by the end of September.

“The Trump administration’s decision to force more than 900 bison off federal land was illegal and politically motivated. We look forward to presenting our case to ensure bison can remain on public lands across the country,” said Earthjustice Attorney Jenny Harbine.

Pesticides and Herbicides in our Forests??

Come and meet Bob Lloyd, owner of Pura Vida Aquatic and passionate protector of all ecosystems, at the French Valley Library on September 14th at 4:00.

He's been bringing natural aquatic water features to his clients for almost 30 years. He makes sure to provide a joyful and refreshing aquatic habitat that both humans and local wildlife can enjoy.
Over the years he has transformed into a fierce foe to those that peddle the use of pesticides and herbicides in our environment. He has found that these chemicals are being used in places one would not expect. Our public lands, are being dosed regularly! Are we and wildlife being exposed to dangerous conditions? What are the side-effects?

Dr, Bob Lloyd earned his PhD from the University of Illinois in microbiology after undergrad studies at the University of Florida. He runs his own small business Pura Vida Aquatic and writes a newsletter called Our Toxic National Parks (OTNP). His hobby is organic gardening.
