The Butch Cassidy Ski Chase & Fun Day has been canceled.

We know that some were waiting on word of the yearly race. After waiting to see if the weather would cooperate we have decided to cancel as the lack of snow coverage on the race track is too high. We appreciate the communities continuous support and understanding!

Please stay tuned for next seasons race as well as other events from the Nordic community.

Intermediate Nordic skate ski intensive clinic!

If you are interested in fine tuning your skate skiing Nordic technique, we are offering a half day clinic with Britt Bradford at Priest Lake, on Sunday February 1st. This program runs from 10:30am - 1:00pm. 

It’s a great opportunity to work on improving personal Nordic skills with expert guidance from a PSIA certified instructor. 

The cost for the clinic is just $85 + $25 if you need to rent gear.

This single day experience is limited to 6 participants, so register early to reserve your spot. Registration link can also be found in our bio. If registration is closed, then the clinic is unfortunately full.

The beginning classic ski clinic and the beginning skate ski clinics are a fun and  affordable way to get your first taste of Nordic skiing.  This program focuses on the basic fundamentals of Nordic skiing, encouraging new skiers to make Nordic skiing part of their winter recreation routine. 

Our intermediate skate ski clinic is a great opportunity for accomplished skate skiers to improve their skills, focusing on body mechanics and technical elements.  

All of these clinics run for 4 consecutive weeks.  The programs are progressive, package deals.

Dates for the 2026 clinics:
 
* Beginning classic skiing - Saturdays in January, beginning on 1/10 from 10:30- 11:30 am
* Beginning skate skiing - Saturdays in January, beginning on 1/10 from 12:00- 1:00 pm

* Intermediate skate ski clinic- Thursdays in January,  beginning 1 /8  from 10:30- 11:30 am  

Cost:
These 4 week programs cost $135.00
If you need to rent gear for the program, that is just $25.00 extra

(Rental gear is available during the programming and can be kept for an extra hour if you want to practice the skills a little more once the clinic wraps up for the day)

Meet local Nordic skiers and learn about Nordic skiing if you’re just getting into the scene. You can also talk to our groomers and ask how it’s done!

Dropbox instructions: 🗳️
1. Tie skates together
2. Fill out sharpening form legibly and completely (located on top of dropbox)
3. Text us that you have dropped off your skates ( # provided at dropbox)
4. Tuck the form into your skate and drop them into the box
5. Scan the QR code (at box) to pay or text the number to request a link.

We will contact you when your skates are ready to discuss a pick up time or provide you with a locker and code for easy pick up.

As spring settles into the area we are winding down from an amazing Nordic season. A sincere thanks to all of our groomers, members, donors, sponsors, board members, staff, skiers and friends! Thank you to the USFS and for ongoing partnerships. As we see it, Nordic skiing is such a positive for our community. We look forward to seeing you again when the snow flies. Until then, stay on track.

Our club is so excited to launch a new community event to promote health and camaraderie while also raising much-needed funds for Telluride Rotary and, potentially, for other nonprofits. It's a hikeathon!

Participants will hike and log miles during the four weeks of June. They'll solicit donations or per-mile pledges from family & friends, and they have the option of forming a team for fun. If the team represents a nonprofit, then half their team's money raised will go back to the nonprofit.
Hikers can hike anywhere; you need not be in the Telluride region to participate.
Prizes, donated by local businesses, will be awarded to certain categories for individuals and teams. We'll have a kickoff event Sunday, June 1, and a closing celebration with prize giveaways on Sunday, June 29.
