The festival is over. Monday is not.
Bluegrass weekend is behind us. The music was good. The mountains were gorgeous. And we do not blame you if Monday morning came way too quickly.

Let SMART handle Highway 145 while you replay your favorite set, drink your coffee and ease back into the week.

The Lawson Hill route runs all day from 6:50 a.m.—totally free. We’ve got you.

Freedom of movement is a right not a privilege. On Juneteenth, we honor freedom, community and the ongoing work of building a more equitable world.

At SMART, public transit is one of the most direct expressions of that commitment we know how to make. When a hospitality employee in Norwood can get to their job in Telluride for $2, when a student in Lawson Hill rides free to school, when a senior in Rico does not have to depend on a car, that’s access. That is what this system is built for.

Happy Juneteenth from everyone at SMART.

53 years.
Town Park.
Four days.
Do not drive.

The 53rd Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival kicks off today at Town Park and if you’ve been here for one before, you know what Colorado Avenue looks like when the crowds arrive.

Here is the smarter plan. Our Lawson Hill Route stops directly at Town Park and runs until 11:25 p.m. every night, so you can catch the late sets and still get home without circling for a spot. Coming from Placerville or Sawpit? The Down Valley Route gets you to the Courthouse by 7:45 a.m.

Up in Norwood? The Norwood Route has weekend service—Norwood Fairgrounds to Town Park, arriving 8:30 a.m.

The festival runs Thursday, June 18 through Sunday, June 21. We will be running all four days. See you at Town Park.

A long weekend of world-class food and wine in one of Colorado’s most beautiful towns.

Telluride Food + Vine is back June 12 through 14, bringing chef dinners, tastings, and culinary events to the heart of downtown. Whether you are catching a farm-to-table dinner on Colorado Avenue or browsing the Farmers Market on South Oak Street, this is not the weekend to be worried about parking or who’s driving.

Our Lawson Hill Route runs all day, free, from Upper Lawson Hill all the way to Town Park and back until 11:25 p.m. So the only decision you need to make is what to order next.

Attention Norwood Riders:
Music on the Mesa is this Saturday, June 13th. The transit parking lot will be closed for this event. Riders are welcome to use the Norwood Public Schools Parking lot. Please contact the fairgrounds coordinator at 970-327-4321 if you have any questions or concerns.

New to the valley? Your first local tip is free.

Every summer, people come from all over to work in one of the most spectacular places on Earth. If you just started a job in Telluride or Mountain Village and you are settling into Lawson Hill, Norwood, Placerville, Rico, or anywhere in between —here is what you need to know.

You don’t need a car to get to work! Yes that’s right. And depending on where you live, you will not spend a single dollar getting there.

Living in Lawson Hill? The Lawson Hill Route is free and runs all day to the Courthouse. First bus from Town Park arrives at 6:50 a.m.

Coming from Placerville or Sawpit? The Down Valley Route is free and has you at the Courthouse by 7:45 a.m.

Commuting from Rico? The Rico Route departs the Enterprise Bar and Grill at 7:00 a.m., arrives Telluride 7:45 a.m. and is free.

Living up in Norwood? The Norwood Route is $2 and leaves the Norwood Fairgrounds as early as 6:35 a.m.

All routes converge at the Telluride Courthouse right downtown. See SmartTelluride.colorado.gov.
for the schedule.

Colorado Avenue from Aspen St. to Willow St. will be closed tomorrow (Saturday, June 6th) from 6PM-10PM for Balloon Glo. The closest alternate bus stops are Columbia Avenue and Oak Street (eastbound) and Oak Street and Pacific Avenue (westbound).
