I still can't believe this is my life!
I just finished up three amazing days of Equine Assisted Learning facilitator training, and as I sit here integrating everything I've learned, I can't wait to get home to the farm.
When I moved to Tennessee and purchased this neglected land. I was starting completely from scratch. I lived in a camper while I worked on the property, and I would often sit there staring out across the fields, dreaming about horses.
I could see them. I could picture them grazing in the pastures.
But I had no idea how I was going to make it happen. I certainly didn't imagine all of this.
In fact, so many things changed. Life took turns I never expected. Shattering what I thought was my future. Some of those shifts were incredibly painful. Looking back now, some of the hardest seasons of my life were unfolding right in the middle of building this farm.
What I didn't know then was that those challenges would force me into a healing journey that would completely change the course of my life.
That journey taught me about resilience, self-awareness, courage, boundaries, faith, and learning to trust myself and the process. And it ultimately led me here.
One step at a time. One hard decision at a time. One day at a time. And the path continues to unfold.
Now, I stand in a pasture with horses who help people discover their own strength, confidence, leadership, and self-awareness.
Every session reminds me that people already have the answers they are looking for. Sometimes they just need the right environment, the right experience, and the right teacher to help them see it.
That's where the horses come in.
They don't judge your past. They don't care about your job title.
They don't care what you say. They respond to what is real.
And in a world that often encourages us to wear masks, that kind of honesty is a gift.
These horses inspire me every day. They remind me to slow down, stay present, trust the process, and show up authentically. The more I learn from them, the more I realize that some of life's most important lessons aren't taught with words.
I am so grateful for these horses, this farm, and every person who trusts us enough to begin the journey.
This is only the beginning. 💚
