Renovations Update 🛠️❤️

Things are coming right along at 1621 Main Street!!

Offices & Board Room are all framed up, insulation is almost complete and dry wall will be going up soon!

We are still working from home at this time but things are moving along ❤️❤️

Board Member Spotlight - April Owen, Retired Teacher

I have had the honor to serve on the United Way Perry County board for six and a half years. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in the grant interviews each year and that in itself has been eye-opening.

It has been a privilege to see the work that other organizations and individuals are doing to make life better for the people of Perry County. My work with the Angel Store has been most rewarding. I am proud of the work that United Way Perry County is doing and humbled to be a part of it.

April is also a dedicated supporter of Special Olympics - Perry County is lucky to have her advocating in such a diverse way!

We are honored to share that UWPC received the Applause Award at the Perry County Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner this evening ❤️

With so many amazing nonprofits doing incredible work throughout Perry County, this recognition means so much to us. Congratulations to all of the nominees this evening - we are proud to serve alongside organizations that care so deeply about our community.

Thank you to our board, volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters — this award belongs to all of you. We are beyond grateful for a community that continues to show up, support one another, and prove that United Is The Way. ❤️

Board Member Spotlight - Linda Weedman, Retired Teacher

Linda's favorite part of being on the board of United Way Perry County is the opportunity to directly help people in need within the community through the Angel Store, United We Can and grants given to other organizations. There is a deep sense of fulfillment that comes from seeing local resources translated into tangible support for neighbors facing challenges.

Equally important is the collaboration with my fellow board members. Working alongside a dedicated group of awesome people who share the same commitment to Perry County creates a powerful sense of shared purpose, making the collective effort to improve lives both effective and personally rewarding.

Linda is also very instrumental in the United Way of Perry County Angel Store! Perry County is lucky to have you, Linda!
