PAINT THE TOWN BLUE

The members of Perry County FOP Lodge 137 invite our community to help us "Light the Town Blue" from now through July 4th.

We encourage residents, businesses, churches, and organizations throughout Perry County to display blue lights on their homes, storefronts, porches, and properties as a visible sign of support.

This effort serves two important purposes:

-To honor and remember Sgt. Heather Glenn, whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

-To show support and appreciation for the dedicated men and women of Perry County Law Enforcement who continue to serve and protect our communities every day.

A simple blue light can send a powerful message of remembrance, gratitude, and unity. Together, we can light up Perry County and demonstrate that we stand behind those who wear the badge and the families who support them.

Join us as we Light the Town Blue through July 4th.

In recognition of National Police Week, we honor the life, service, and sacrifice of fallen police officers across the Nation, especially our own, Heather Glenn.

Sergeant Glenn wore the badge with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the people she served. Her End of Watch on July 3, 2023, was not only a heartbreaking loss for the Tell City Police Department, but for an entire community that knew her as a protector, leader, mentor, and friend.

Her sacrifice stands as a solemn reminder that behind every badge is a human being willing to risk everything for others. Though her watch ended too soon, her legacy of service, strength, and selflessness continues to live on in the officers who carry forward her mission and in the community she faithfully protected.

We will never forget Sergeant Heather Glenn.
End of Watch: 7-3-2023.
Honor. Duty. Sacrifice.

Shout out to the dispatchers for
Perry County!

📞National Public Safety Telecommunications Week🚨

Situated within the walls of the Tell City Police Department is a well-oiled engine…one made up of many moving parts and powered by the latest technology. That technology operates 24/7, ready to assist in both life’s smallest concerns and its most critical moments.

But behind that system is its most vital component: the dispatcher. The voice you hear in times of need, yet the face you may never see. The multi-tasking heroes.

This week, as we recognize Public Safety Telecommunications Week, we extend our deepest gratitude to our team of dispatchers. Their professionalism, dedication, and steady presence make a difference every single day.

We are truly indebted to their invaluable service.

A follower shared this photo of Officer Spurling doing his part to support local businesses. Don’t let his size fool you..he also appreciates a good braided bracelet!

Supporting our community comes in all forms and sizes, and we’re proud to see our officers out connecting with the people and businesses that make our town great.

The Perry County FOP 137 Auxiliary is extremely saddened by the passing of our beloved member, GMan Estes.

GMan was more than a member—he was family. His kindness, dedication, and unwavering support for our law enforcement community and this auxiliary left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to know him. Whether he was lending a helping hand, sharing a smile, or showing up when it mattered most, GMan embodied what it truly means to serve others.

We will forever be grateful for his contributions, his friendship, and the light he brought into our lives. His legacy will continue to live on through the work we do and the memories we hold close.

Please keep his family, friends, and all who loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, GMan. You will never be forgotten. 💙
