❤️🍂 THANK YOU, PERRY COUNTY! 🍂❤️
Writing a thank-you to everyone who helped make October Fest possible is almost impossible because so many people pitched in to make this an incredible day for our community!
First, to all of our vendors — YOU WERE AMAZING! The items, food, creativity, and talent I saw throughout the day were fabulous. Thank you for choosing to spend your Saturday with us and for supporting October Fest and Tell City Strong. We truly could not have an event like this without you!
To everyone who helped make our children’s area so special — THANK YOU! From the bounce houses, cotton candy, and cookie decorating to Kit Kat Bubble Fairy, Spider-Man, G4 Race Track, A to Z Party Rentals’ yard games, and Mater — there was so much for our kids to enjoy. Every time I visited that area, it was filled with kids, families, and so much laughter. That is exactly what we hoped for! ❤️
And we can't forget the entertainment that helped keep the fun going throughout the day! A huge thank-you to Dance Haven for a wonderful performance and to The Project for bringing the energy with the Dance Party! Seeing people enjoying the music, dancing, and having fun together was another one of those moments that made the day so special. 💃🎶❤️
A huge thank-you to the police officers who volunteered their time to be with us. Having you there helped keep everyone safe and allowed our families, vendors, volunteers, and guests to simply enjoy the day. We appreciate you more than you know!
And then there is my Tell City Strong team. ❤️
I don't think I could ever write enough words to thank you for everything you did. What most people don't see is that we work for about six months preparing for this one day. And then, when we had to move the entire event at the last minute, this team stepped up and made it happen!
There were so many behind-the-scenes moments people will never know about — including what we went through just to get pumpkins after our donation fell through at the last minute! 😂 Every time another piece needed picked up, someone stepped in and said, “We'll figure it out.” And we did.
There are a hundred little things this team handled that most people will never know about, and I noticed every single one of them. I am so incredibly appreciative of each of you. Tell City Strong may be the name on the event, but it is the people behind that name who make days like this possible.
And last, but certainly not least, our special guests. Watching you take the time to talk with people, take pictures, sign things, laugh with them, and genuinely make them feel special gave me goosebumps throughout the day.
Thank you Kirra Lee, Andrea Dalton, Tammy Slaton, Zachariah Smith, and Isaac Corley for spending the day with Perry County and helping make October Fest something our community will remember. ❤️
At the end of the day, I am just so thankful.
Thankful for a beautiful day.
Thankful for an amazing turnout.
Thankful for every volunteer, vendor, guest, performer, organization, officer, business, and community member who played a part.
But most of all, I am thankful that we had another opportunity to show people exactly what Perry County is all about — COMMUNITY. ❤️
When people come together, pitch in, help one another, and say, “Let's make it happen,” some pretty amazing things can happen.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for making October Fest a day we will never forget! ❤️
We are tired, our feet hurt, and we may need a little time to recover 😂… but seeing our community come together made every single bit of it worth it.
