Mental health complications, including su***de and overdose, are among the leading causes of death during pregnancy and the first year postpartum.

Many mothers suffer silently because they fear judgment, shame, or being seen as a “bad mom.”

Checking in matters. Listening matters. Support matters.

You never know who needs to hear:
“You don’t have to carry this alone.”

Pregnancy & Postpartum Psychosis (PPP) affects approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1,000 births and can develop rapidly — often within days or weeks after delivery.

Warning signs may include:
• Hallucinations
• Delusions or paranoia
• Severe confusion
• Extreme mood changes
• Lack of sleep without feeling tired
• Disorganized behavior

PPP is treatable, and early intervention saves lives.
If you notice these symptoms in yourself or someone you love, seek immediate medical support.
