The Pit-Tekonsha Youth Center The pit is a community space created for teenagers to hang out, connect, and be part of something positive.

Our goal is simple: provide a safe place where local youth can spend time, build friendships, and grow in a supportive environment.

What a great work day we had Saturday. It was a little wet and cold but the rain held off enough to get some work done. We filled 3 more dumpsters full and were able to take down the other shed in the back. Huge relief thank you to all who helped.

An update on what’s happening since March 19, 2026

Good afternoon friends. Just wanted to give a quick update and vid to follow. Applied for re zoning this week, met with a local church about our goal, Outdoors with Erik came back Saturday and helped with removing more overgrowth. Lots of exciting things happening in Tekonsha.

Prayer needs:
For Gods direction and what he wants us to use this for.
Need dumpsters to remove trash from in structures.
Need a few dead trees removed.
Honey do home repair is going to volunteer some time to fix a roof leak for now.
Lots more needed to get this up and running but these are things we are working on at the moment.
