After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to close Tega Cay Wildlife Rehabbers on March 16th.
This was not an easy decision for us. What started as a small effort to help animals in our community grew into something incredibly meaningful because of the support, kindness, and trust of so many people.
Although our organization will be closing, our commitment to the animals currently in our care remains unchanged. We will continue caring for them until they are fully rehabilitated and ready for release back into the wild where they belong.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us along the way — those who donated, transported animals, shared our posts, offered encouragement, or simply believed in the work we were doing. Your compassion helped give so many animals a second chance.
🐾 Wildlife Help Going Forward
If you find an injured or orphaned wild animal in the future, we strongly recommend using the Animal Help Now app, which connects you with licensed wildlife rehabilitators and resources near you:
📱 Animal Help Now (AHNow)

This app is one of the best tools available for quickly locating wildlife professionals who can help.
🐿️ Donations & Supplies
Any remaining donations — both monetary and physical supplies — will be used to continue caring for the animals currently in our care and to assist with emergency wildlife situations that arise during this transition period.
Your generosity will still directly support wildlife by helping provide food, medical care, and necessary supplies until every animal we are currently rehabilitating is safely released.
♥️ Thank You
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to this community and especially to Casey Borer, whose dedication and compassion have helped countless animals over the years. Casey’s work has been instrumental in protecting and caring for wildlife in our area.
While this chapter is coming to a close, the care and respect for wildlife in our community will continue.
Thank you for trusting us to help the animals who needed it most. Please feel free to private message us any questions or concerns you may have.
With gratitude,
Tega Cay Wildlife Rehabbers
A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers who have spent countless hours, many sleepless nights, and opened their homes to so many animals over the years. We have had fundraisers, social media gurus, trainings, and more. Every single person accepted this mission for FREE. ♥️ We are so grateful.
