🚓❄️ From Lockdown to Local Love ❄️🚧
As we thaw out after four long days of full winter lockdown, we want to pause and say a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the teams who showed up while the rest of us were bundled up in sweatpants and blankets.
👏 Tecumseh Police Department
👏 Pottawatomie County Emergency Management
👏 City of Tecumseh Street Crew
Thank you for keeping us safe, keeping us informed, and clearing roads so our community can move again. Your long hours, cold hands, and steady leadership did not go unnoticed.
Now… let’s talk re-entry 😄
After four days at home, some of us are:
👖Unsure how jeans work anymore
💬A little rusty on small talk
🏠Debating if we really need to leave the house
Good news: the cure is simple → get out and go local.
💙 Here’s the serious part (and it really matters):
Our small businesses lost several days of operation during this storm. That means lost revenue and fewer hours for employees who rely on those paychecks to support their families.
These are the same businesses that:
🏀Sponsor our schools and teams
🎡Support community events
💲Donate to fundraisers
👷Employ our friends, neighbors, and family members
They show up for Tecumseh every day of the year.
👉 Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
Grab coffee. Eat lunch out. Run that errand in town. Book the appointment. Shop local before you shop elsewhere.
A small choice from you can make a big difference for someone else.
Let’s come out of isolation the Tecumseh way;
connected, supportive, and stronger together. 💛🖤
