Dakota Gonzales Memorial

Dakota Gonzales Memorial DGMS a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization that is helping others in furthering their education after high school. Created in Dakota's memory 7/3/14

Dakota Gonzales was a light in our community who passed away July 3, 2014 at 4 pm in the afternoon on his way home from work at University of Michigan. He was with his friends and co-workers Curt Orlowski (who also passed) and Erin Lara (who survived with a TBI). They were hit by a 19 yr old teen who crossed the median on US 23. This scholarship has been created in his memory to help other shining

examples in this world build a life that matters. Dakota received multiple scholarships himself to help him attend Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids MI where he played soccer. We want to help mentor others that are similar in who Dakota was; kind, compassionate, selfless, smart, funny, faithful, etc. Dakota was in the process of building a life that mattered and so should others.
