NAACP Act-So National Convention 2026 Recap ✊🏾

The Bergen County ACT-SO team was honored to participate in the NAACP National Convention 2026 in Chicago, where we celebrated excellence, connected with inspiring leaders, and gained valuable insights to bring back to our community.

We are incredibly proud of our ACT-SO contestants for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding representation on the national stage. We can't wait to return to Nationals next year!

In between competition events, we also had the privilege of visiting the Obama Presidential Center, an inspiring experience that reminded us of the power of leadership, service, and investing in future generations.

Since June 8, 1942, the Bergen County Branch of the NAACP has stood at the forefront of the fight for justice, equity, and opportunity. Through every challenge, every victory, and every generation, our mission has remained clear: to advance civil rights and strengthen our communities.

For 84 years, we have organized, educated, advocated, mentored, registered voters, empowered youth, and answered the call to serve.

As we honor our legacy, we also celebrate the countless members, volunteers, community partners, and leaders whose dedication continues to move this work forward each and every day.

The work continues. The mission endures. The impact grows.

It was truly a joy to accept this meaningful honor and celebrate alongside so many inspiring leaders at the 18th Annual Mother’s Day Scholarship Luncheon.
