In the early 90's, ICNA established a youth division called Young Muslims to help the Muslim youth become better Muslims and citizens. Today, Young Muslims (YM) is a pioneering national youth organization that has established a well organized network of local youth groups across the United States and Canada. By providing the Muslim youth with an Islamic atmosphere where they can form bonds of brot
herhood with their peers, they become comfortable with Islam and its teachings. YM stresses the importance of knowing, understanding, and fulfilling the individual and collective obligations of being a Muslim. We have weekly Halaqa's in which our members learn about Islam. Then we have activities such as different sports and outings to go eat. We also hold huge community events every so often along with a yearly Basketball Tournament, The Muslim Extravaganza, and a couple of mini events every month that are separate from our weekly routine.
