🏆⚡️ **TEA TITANS STATE TOURNAMENT RECAP** ⚡️🏆

The 2026 South Dakota State Tournament marked the end of another incredible season for our 13U, 14U, and 16U Tea Titans. Each team faced tough competition and represented Tea Baseball with tremendous effort, sportsmanship, and pride.

🔵 13U TITANS

The 13U Titans battled through a challenging State Tournament, finishing with a 1-2 record while competing in three tightly contested games.

Tea opened the tournament with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Brandon Valley despite out-hitting their opponent 5-2. Colin Terveen turned in an outstanding performance on the mound, throwing a complete five innings while allowing just two runs and keeping the Titans within striking distance throughout the game. Brady Hall paced the offense with two hits.

After another tough battle against Aberdeen Smittys, the Titans refused to let their season end quietly. In their tournament finale against Dakota Valley, Tea put together one final comeback for the books. Trailing late, the Titans rallied for an exciting 11-10 walk-off victory, with Kamyn Karsky delivering the game-winning hit. Colin Terveen and Drake Olson each drove in three runs, while Dylan Javers, Kamyn Karsky, and Hayden Deibert all recorded multi-hit performances to fuel the offense.

The weekend perfectly reflected this group's character. They competed until the final out of every game, never stopped believing, and were rewarded by ending their season with an unforgettable walk-off win. The future is bright for this talented group of Titans.

🟡 14U TITANS

The 14U Titans wrapped up an outstanding season with a strong showing at the South Dakota State Tournament, finishing 2-2 while advancing to Championship Sunday.

Tea opened the tournament with an offensive explosion, defeating Yankton 18-15 before suffering a hard-fought loss to host Pierre. Facing elimination, the Titans responded in impressive fashion by rolling past Brookings 19-4 to earn a spot on Championship Sunday. Their season came to a close with a competitive 9-6 loss to PCBA, but not before proving they belonged among the state's top teams.

The offense was electric throughout the weekend, piling up **44 hits in four games**.

Miles Jelen put together one of the best individual tournaments of the weekend, recording multiple extra-base hits in every game. He finished with two doubles, three triples, 19 total bases, and five stolen bases while consistently setting the tone offensively.

Declan Schramm came through with timely hits all tournament long, highlighted by a four-RBI performance against Brookings. He added multiple extra-base hits while providing outstanding defense throughout the weekend.

Kayden Mueller was another key contributor, driving in five runs during the opening-round victory over Yankton before adding a three-hit performance against PCBA. He also earned the win on the mound against Brookings to send the Titans to Championship Sunday.

⚾️ 16U TITANS

The 16U Titans closed out their season with an outstanding performance at the South Dakota State Tournament, finishing 3-1 and advancing to the Final Four.

Tea wasted no time making a statement, opening the tournament with a dominant 19-0 victory over Brookings before following it up with an impressive 9-1 win over Yankton.

The quarterfinal matchup against Post 320 Risers produced one of the most memorable games of the weekend. Trailing late, the Titans rallied for a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory. Braxon Willemssen delivered the biggest hit of the tournament with a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning, sending Tea to the Final Four.

The tournament run eventually came to an end against a talented Post 22 Bullets squad, but not before the Titans demonstrated the toughness, composure, and competitive spirit that defined their season.

Tea scored **36 runs** in four tournament games while receiving contributions throughout the lineup.

Egan Geelan led the offense by collecting eight hits and consistently finding ways to reach base and drive in runs. Nate Hall excelled both on the mound and at the plate, drawing 12 walks, delivering timely RBIs, and striking out seven over six outstanding innings in the quarterfinal victory. Ty Olson provided a spark from the bottom of the lineup, driving in five runs during the opening-round win over Brookings, while Willemssen's clutch heroics will be remembered as one of the defining moments of the tournament.

The pitching staff was equally impressive all weekend. Owen Schramm tossed four scoreless innings in the tournament opener, Brayden Carroll and Kaden Christian combined to limit Yankton to just one run, and Hall's dominant quarterfinal performance helped punch the Titans' ticket to the Final Four.

**💙 THANK YOU, TITANS!**

These three teams competed with heart, supported one another, overcame adversity, and proudly wore "TITANS" across their jerseys every time they stepped on the field.

Congratulations to every player, coach, and family on an outstanding 2026 season. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, traveled, cheered from the stands, and supported Tea Baseball all summer long. ⚡️💙

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our volunteers! They did all the invisible work behind the scenes to ensure the tournament went off without a hitch.

The storm Saturday night created a mess at the Athletic Complex as well. Our Tea South Dakota City team were rockstars in ensuring Field A was ready to play for Sunday's games, in addition to all of the clean up they did around town.

We love bringing tournaments to Tea to showcase our facilities and our hospitality — thank you to all who played a role this past weekend.

Finally, a shout-out to the man behind the mic, Jeremy McGregor, who gave play-by-play all weekend long and whose musical playlist is second to none!
