Job opportunities:

They are currently looking for THREE part time cashiers: hours being anywhere from 10:30am-5pm.

We are also looking for up to FOUR cooks for our night shift. Hours being 5pm-12am.

Both cashier and cook positions will start between $10-$11 an hour.

Wow!! Checkout our chamber board member Heather Spade-Lawson! Their hydroponics operation is extremely impressive and right here in Claiborne County!!

Harrogate Plant and Produce

Heather Lawson of Town Creek Hydroponics said they're producing 4,000 plants per week, but that's still not enough to keep up with recent demand.

FYI from the City Of Tazewell Tennessee.
We are so excited for all the improvements to our beautiful park!

Tazewell Municipal Park is under construction beginning on Monday August 24, 2026. New ADA playground equipment will be installed and other upgrades are planned. The park will remain open during construction.

It’s that time of year again! As summer starts winding down, Jimmy’s Place is moving to our end of the season hours.

We’ll now be closed Monday–Wednesday and open Thursday–Sunday.

The season isn’t over yet though — there’s still plenty of good food, cold drinks, and lake days ahead!

Tourism is a vital catalyst for economic growth. The Claiborne Economic Partnership and Visit Claiborne County work hard to produce events that bring in money to our county. We are very proud of our first ever “Pedal the Gap” event this weekend. We had 116 bicyclists from as far away as Missouri and Oklahoma who came and rode in our 20, 40, 60, and 80 mile choices that also included riding to the top of the Pinnacle!! This event took a lot of planning, hard work, and time, but it was well worth it!
We want to thank several people and hope to not leave anyone out:
Mayor Joe Brooks was part of the team to bring this event to our county. We wanted to honor that and included him on our shirts and had a booth with his picture with free, cold watermelon for the riders and volunteers.
