WE HAVE A DATE! September 9th at 1:00 PM. After YEARS of fighting, we are finally going back to Tazewell and getting in front of a judge. She was failed in so many ways, including by the attorney who was supposed to be fighting FOR her.

The Supreme Court has ordered Tazewell to hold an evidentiary hearing to actually hear the evidence and determine what happened after her sentencing.

September 9th we finally get to walk into that courtroom, put the evidence in front of a judge, and fight to prove that Mom was denied an appeal she wanted because her attorney FAILED TO DO HIS JOB!

We aren’t backing down. And we are coming back to Tazewell ready. SHE IS NOT GUILTY. JUSTICE FOR MIMI!

After six years… Tazewell County, it’s time! The Supreme Court of Virginia has ordered an evidentiary hearing and set timelines for what happens next. This is SO encouraging to finally see things moving forward! Thank you to everyone who has supported us and followed this journey. ❤️

Mom's former attorney- FLUX NEO was suspended due to violations and misconduct charges. Hopefully this helps moms case, showing he was incompetent to represent her in court!

UPDATE: Mom graduated 👩‍🎓 with her professional Electrical Certification through the vocational program offered at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. We are so proud of her and honored to be able to watch her walk the stage in her graduation cap and gown.

🤍 She is also now living in the honor wing, still participating in bible groups and staying as positive as she can given her situation. Her health is not well but she is getting regular treatments.

We are still awaiting the response from the Supreme Court about her Habeas Corpus and appeal. Her attorney said unfortunately these things can take up to a year. It was filed in November. As we wait we continue to appreciate your support and prayers. ✨ 🙏🏼

I’ve been pretty emotional today. Saturday was my first visit with my mom since Grandpa passed, and it was incredibly hard. She’s struggling with grief, feeling sick, and having frequent panic attacks, even though she’s trying her best to stay positive. I can’t imagine the pain of losing both parents while being unable to be there.

Please keep her in your prayers. I’m still hoping justice will be served, but some days it’s hard to hold onto that hope.

Grandpa’s funeral was beautiful… I just wish she could’ve been there to see it. 🤍 🕊️
