Underground Dance Company Underground Dance Company was founded in 2011 with the idea to combine street styles and technical styles.

Underground Dance Company is an all styles dance company that is dedicated to uniting dance styles, community, and dancers (regardless of age, color, gender, and size). We are dedicated to uniting all styles of dance, creating a passionate community, and providing opportunities and safe spaces for every type of dancer. As a dance company that accepts all styles of dance, we also accept all styles of people regardless of age, color, gender, and size.

Poetry in Motion by Underground Dance Company is an all-styles dance concert where movement becomes poetry. Each piece represents a different “poem,” telling its own story through rhythm, emotion, and physical expression.

From playful and lighthearted to raw, romantic, and politically charged, the show explores a wide range of themes and perspectives. Together, these works create a powerful reminder that dance, like poetry, can say what words cannot.

We had a successful tech rehearsal! Our lighting director, Carson Sabin, crushed it with our lightning design. Please just be aware that we do use strobes throughout the show.
