We wanted to share with our followers that we are honored to be considered a potential candidate to be featured in the International Association of Fire Chief’s (IAFC) TV broadcast at Fire Rescue International (FRI) 2026 in Kansas City, MO (August 12-14, 2026).

We respectfully had to decline the request due to the cost of such an opportunity. However, we appreciate leaders in our industry recognizing the good things taking place at the TSCFPD. This is a compliment to the citizens of our community and members of our fire district.

Dear TSCFPD,

I would like to schedule a call between you and Mark Rose, IAFC TV Director, about highlighting the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District in a pre-recorded video case study within the official International Association of Fire Chief’s (IAFC) TV broadcast at Fire Rescue International (FRI) 2026 in Kansas City, MO (August 12-14, 2026).

We were interested in what you're building at Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District. your vision for the future of Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District. Under your leadership, the TSCFPD has demonstrated an impressive commitment to community protection through projects such as the Taylorsville Lake water-rescue programme you launched with the new Stanley fire-rescue boat and the Jr. firefighter program you championed, which caught our attention. We wanted to highlight your projects and the direction you're taking the department, we believe you will make an exceptional fit with the focus areas at Fire-Rescue International this year.
As I'm sure you are aware every summer thousands of the most prominent fire and emergency service leaders from across North America and around the globe come to Fire-Rescue International (FRI). Since 2012 IAFC TV has highlighted to this audience the innovative work and leadership of firefighters and emergency responders worldwide across firefighting, EMS, wildfire prevention, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search and rescue, and public safety.

As a key part of the IAFC TV broadcast, we will once again highlight to the attendees some of the departments and organizations that are at the cutting-edge of fire and emergency services and offer them a unique opportunity to profile their key developments, initiatives and best practices in the form of a five-minute documentary feature.
Through our research, we are considering a number of Fire Departments as potential candidates to sponsor these documentary features including the TSCFPD and I am keen to arrange a conversation between you and Mark Rose to make sure that there is a strong fit. I must emphasise that there is a cost involved in this opportunity to be profiled, which covers the distribution, and full ownership of the film and additional footage.

This evening firefighters completed Trench Rescue Awareness training which is a review of entry-level knowledge for recognizing hazards, understanding collapse mechanics, and initiating safe, initial actions during a trench emergency, based on NFPA 1006 standards. We also covered soil types, protective systems, and OSHA regulations,

Our recruit class participated in hazardous materials training.
