Taylor Rodeo Association 🗓️2027 77th Annual Taylor Rodeo

𐚁Taylor's Pro CPRA Rodeo
Since 1950
He brought beef to the north and tamed the west.

The Great American Cowboy built this country with strong hands and a lonely heart. He spent his nights under lonely stars by a camp fire and spent his days roping, riding and fighting the elements -- and some lived to tell about it. The history of the cowboy's life is written in books and songs. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and John Wayne immortalized him in the movies. Since 1950 Taylor Rodeo Association has proudly brought to you the Taylor Annual Rodeo in the home town of Bill Picket. The crowds that come to this yearly event have grown because of the enthusiasm and the excitement, but most of all for the entertainment they receive. Over the years the Taylor Annual Rodeo has become the big fish in a small pond. It is one of the biggest and best small-town rodeos anywhere. Crowds at the event exceed expectations every year, and every year more and more people come out to Taylor to experience rodeo at it's finest. Taylor's rodeo is different because of the tremendous amount of crowd participation. The crowd can join in such events as the Calf Scramble and Steer Saddling. The rodeo cowboys who ride in the Taylor Annual Rodeo do not carry a membership card. This is an open rodeo; a place where you can watch local people rope and ride. Some of the cowboys you get to see are the future of the sport. PRCA riders are welcome, since this is an open event, but they may not come away with the check. The East Williamson County Events Center is home to the Taylor Annual Rodeo . The Taylor Rodeo Association is the caretaker for this 60,000 square foot covered facility -- the largest in Williamson County. Dig into our web page further for details and booking information. The Taylor Annual Rodeo is a Celebration of the Passion, Dignity, Honor and Integrity Surrounding the Legacy of "The Great American Cowboy". Don't miss your opportunity to be part of this year's celebration.

The Taylor Rodeo Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Verna Grieger.

For decades, Mrs. Grieger was a constant, smiling presence and a steadfast supporter of the TRA and our community, she never missed a fundraiser and always showed up with a generous heart. Her legacy continues through her family, whose combined contributions to our organization are beyond measure.

Our entire rodeo family extends our heartfelt condolences, love, and prayers to Adolph and Wanda Grieger, Deby and Mike Lannen, Shelly and Joe Gamez, and the entire extended family.

Please join us in lifting them up in prayer as they grieve and navigate the days ahead.

May she rest in peace.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We will always stand united.

Today, the Taylor Rodeo Association joins our community and nation in honoring the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the enduring resilience of the American spirit on September 11, 2001.

God bless our first responders, our military, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

What if the Taylor Rodeo never left the ’80s & ’90s? 🤠📸

We had a little fun taking some of our Taylor Rodeo photos and sending everybody back a few decades… big hair, bright Rockies, Wrangler Brushpoppers, starched denim and all! 😂

Some of these look like they could’ve come straight out of an old rodeo photo album.

Who dressed like this back in the day? 👀😂
