We are incredibly proud of one of our Taylor Area Business Women members for her dedication and advocacy in helping move House Bill 6047 forward.

Recently, Tara McCalister Plybon traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the Elizabeth Dole Foundation’s annual convening for caregivers of veterans and had the opportunity to witness the House voting on H.R. 6047, a bill that directly impacts veterans and their families. After years of persistence and advocacy, seeing this legislation advance is a powerful reminder that committed voices truly make a difference.

Her work supporting veterans and caregivers reflects the heart of what TAB stands for, leadership, service, and lifting others up.

We are honored to have women in our organization who are making an impact not only in our local community, but on a national level.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking her for her tireless efforts on behalf of veterans and their families. 💜

Last month at Taylor Area Business Women’s monthly meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from Jennifer Hart, owner of Shapely Hart Bra Studio in Hutto.

Jennifer has been in the industry for over 15 years, beginning her journey as a mobile bra fitter helping women find comfort and confidence simply by wearing the correct size bra. Three years ago, she opened her storefront at 409 W. Front St. #210 in Hutto, and continues to empower women every day through her work.

It was inspiring to hear how something as simple as the right fit can make such a meaningful difference in confidence and comfort.

✨ Please join us today, May 26th at 12 PM at Sirloin Stockade in Taylor! ✨

If you’d like to connect with a group of supportive, professional women who love learning from one another, we would love to see you there!

Over the past few weeks, Taylor Area Business Women has had the honor of attending two scholarship ceremonies and awarding four scholarships to outstanding young women in our community.

Congratulations to Caroline Tate (Taylor), Addyson Bland (Thorndale), Kiera Hagedorn (Thorndale), & Arif Mahmud (Hutto) for your outstanding accomplishments!

There is nothing more rewarding than investing in the future of these hardworking, driven young women as they begin their journeys into college and the workforce. These scholarships represent encouragement, opportunity, and our belief in their potential to achieve great things.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports our fundraisers throughout the year. Because of you, we are able to give back in meaningful ways and continue our mission of supporting and empowering young women in our community.

Your support truly makes a difference!
