On Saturday, June 6, Downriver Linked Greenways partnered with Friends of the Detroit River Grosse Ile Nature & Land Conservancy and Grosse Ile Historical Society to lead a special hike through the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge's Gibraltar Bay Unit and the Grosse Ile Airport Natural Area.

More than 30 participants joined us to explore some of Downriver's beautiful trails while learning about the history of the former Nike Missile Base and the habitat restoration efforts led by the Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy.

Thank you to our partners and everyone who came out to make this event a success. We look forward to seeing you on the trail again soon!
