✨ Bringing Taylor’s Nonprofits Together ✨

Today, local nonprofits gathered for a time of connection, collaboration, and shared purpose — all centered around strengthening our community.

We were grateful to have Sarah Ruddy join us from Goodwill’s Center for Good, where she shared more about the incredible resources available, including:
• High school diploma programs
• Workforce training & advancement opportunities
• Retail and donation services that give back to the community

Moments like these remind us that when nonprofits come together, we create stronger pathways for the people we serve.

While we are still looking for a dedicated leader to help guide these gatherings, we’re excited about the momentum building and hopeful this serves as a gateway to more consistent collaboration moving forward.

🚨 It’s that time of the year 🚨
CITY WIDE CLEAN UP IN TAYLOR
🧹 🪣 🧽

The Taylor, Texas - Municipal Government is holding A CITY WIDE CLEAN UP to encourage residents to participate in helping keep our community clean and beautiful.

When:
Saturday April 25th
Time:
8am-3pm.

There will be 3 drop off locations through the City. The City along with sponsor groups will keep you updates on location address as we get closer to the date.

The Greater Taylor Community Foundation & Neighbor Helping Neighbor have graciously offered their time and resources to organize a volunteers support team. So if you need physical assistance or transportation needs for those pesky bulk items, the support team will be on standby… why? Because that’s what neighbors are here for! Neighbors helping neighbors bring a community together.

As a VIK Sponsor Abraham’s Hotdogs will be fueling up the volunteers for lunch, so be sure to have a plan in place and we will work together to clean up Taylor!

Today our Board of Directors stepped away from the day-to-day to focus on the big picture.

During our annual retreat, we reflected on the impact we’ve made, clarified our priorities, and mapped out where we’re headed next. Strong organizations don’t happen by accident; they’re built through thoughtful planning, honest conversations, and a shared commitment to the community we serve.

Grateful for a board that shows up with vision, integrity, and heart. The future is bright. ✨

Did you know? The City of Taylor, Texas - Municipal Government has formally proclaimed today, February 11, as 2-1-1 Day in our community.

Why does that matter?

Because 2-1-1 is more than a number. It’s a lifeline.

When families need help with:
• Housing
• Food
• Utility assistance
• Health care
• Child care
• Employment resources

They can dial 2-1-1 and get connected to real, local support.

This proclamation reinforces what we already know — access to information changes lives. When people know where to turn, our entire community is stronger.

Today we celebrate connection, collaboration, and the power of simply asking for help.

Our annual awards celebration was more than an event—it was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community shows up together. From recognizing change makers and partners to sharing the momentum behind our work, the evening was filled with connection, collaboration, and a shared commitment to Taylor’s future.

We are deeply grateful to our community partners who do the real, grassroots work day in and day out—strengthening families, supporting businesses, and building pathways for opportunity.
