Help us help our furry friends.

With Father's Day coming up, it's a great time to support the Humane Society.

You may have seen recent posts about replacing kennel doors in our newer building. To improve the safety and comfort of our resident dogs, we applied for, and received, a grant to pay for the materials. Now we need about $1,000 to install the doors and prep the kennels for this work.

Quinoa is officially up for adoption! We don't know her age, but she's not an old girl. Quinoa is a 7.5 lb Rex, and a total sweetheart. Right now, she is in foster, and gets along well with her foster brother and the cats of the house. If interested, please call the shelter at 362-3170 to set up a meet and greet!

Ok we went with the body of water for the names of these pups. Not easy picking names here at the shelter. Of course you can change their name when you foster to adopt. But we do this for our identification for each animal. So bare with us. These pups are about eight month. They have been wormed, first set of shots. Flea treated and heart worm tested. They are terrier pit X. Tiny for their age. If interested please call the shelter at 989-362-3170.

Okie and Dokie are ready to be fostered to adopt. They are brothers approximately six weeks old. Yah I know they shouldn’t need a bottle but they love it and it is a nice bonding time for me. If interested in the two. Or just one call us at the shelter. They are so fun watching them play together. Oh and I have four dogs so they are use to the dogs. Meet Newman! He is a handsome Siamese mix. He's a big boy, around 16 pounds, and estimated at around 7 years old. Newman is neutered and ready to get out of the shelter and into a nice, quiet home. He is a very shy boy at first, but once he warms up to you, you will become his absolute FAVORITE person. Stop on in and ask to see Newman today!
