Mass in Motion Taunton

Mass in Motion Taunton Funded by the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health, Mass in Motion is a movement that promotes opportunities for healthy eating and active living.

The City of Taunton is the newest recipient of the Mass in Motion grant funded by the MA Department of Public Health. Mass in Motion is already working with over 60 cities and towns throughout the state to increase active living and healthy eating. By creating positive changes to communities, we are making it possible for people to eat better, move more, and live healthier lives. The Mass in Motio

n Taunton partnership is proposing to implement three strategies that are consistent with established best practices and evidence based practices to address risk factors and increase access to healthy food, nutrition education and fitness. We will work together to improve and expand upon our existing farmers markets and community gardens, and we will implement a new program, Take a Walk Taunton to create a network of mapped walking trials that are easily accessible throughout the city.
