We are Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. We have completed over 120 specially adapted home build projects in 38 states. Thanks to a support community of building partners and professional tradespeople, we continually have approximately 30 homes in various stages of construction across the United States per year.

Air Force Captain Anthony “Tony” Simone was on his third deployment when he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in a helicopter crash in the Helmand Province, Afghanistan on June 9, 2010. The Co-Pilot, and Pilot in Command-in-training, Anthony was a Pararescue Captain with an HH-60 CSAR Helicopter (a Combat Search and Rescue Helicopter). Capt Simone does not remember the incident; being shot down while attempting to land to rescue an injured service member. Simone was somehow able to steer to an area away from the prepared Landing Zone, no doubt saving lives on the ground.
