Congratulations to Liam Weeks for receiving the IBEW 223 JATC Industry Award at the Plymouth South Tech Electrical shop. During the senior showcase night Liam was presented the award into the IBEW 223 Apprenticeship program starting in September. Joining Liam was Apprentice Director Bob Revil, Shop Instructor Phil Strassell, Local 223 members Ashley Slazas (Alumni) and John Gonski IV.

The IBEW 223 JATC was hands-on at Massasoit Community College for the MASS HIRE Construction career day once again. Thank you to Instructors Tom Ross and Guy Meninno and our awesome apprentices for helping show students from surrounding towns what a day in the construction field is like. Also stopping by our table to have a conversation and thanking us was Massasoit College President Bill Mitchell. (Bobs twin as some say) and from the MA. AFL-CIO Amber Polisher stopped by to see firsthand the opportunities in the trades for these bus loads of high school students.

Thanks again to the Mass Hire Brockton staff for another great day with the trades.

Congratulations to Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School Electrical shop students, Duncan Townsend and Mia Guido for signing their Industry awards acceptance certificates with IBEW 223. #1 and #2 GPA in their class, they can battle over who takes which spot on their own! Also, thanks to electrical shop teacher Nick Connolly for the shop tour.

We’re proud to support projects that employ our highly skilled, professionally trained electricians across Southeastern Massachusetts. We look forward to partnering as the project moves through permitting.

We spent the morning visiting the guys working for Electric & Industrial Control, Inc. at Johnson&Johnson in Raynham. Ran into a long time friend doing temp. controls for Faris Electric too. What an impressive facility to visit with top notch work from our 223 brothers, with a couple Boston guys thrown in for good measure! Keep up the good work!
