Some exciting positive news with the Sagamore Bridge Project.

State officials have issued a request for proposals for a team to design and build a new Sagamore Bridge, and the firm that wins the bid must agree to a project labor agreement.

Huge congratulations to IBEW Local 223's graduating class of 2026! Your hard work and determination have finally paid off, and we couldn't be more proud of each and every one of you! The guys from Modern Assistance came down to the hall to speak with the apprentices about Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol related issues. Thanks to John Christian and Michael Gamsby for spreading the message and for all the good work they do.

Happy Labor Day from IBEW Local 223!✊⚡️ 🇺🇸

Labor Day isn't just a day off. It's a reminder of what generations of union brothers and sisters fought for: fair wages, safe job sites, and the dignity of a job well done. The 8-hour workday, weekends, workplace safety standards — none of that was handed to us. It was won by working people standing together.

To every IBEW 223 member and your families: thank you for your craftsmanship, your commitment, and your solidarity. Enjoy the day — you've earned it.

To all the hard-working members who power our communities, we say Happy Labor Day.

They have always been there to listen to our views and further the cause for our members regarding the issues that matter the most to us.
