Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest shifts. 💛

A simple self-regulation strategy turned constant interruptions into moments of control and confidence. Instead of feeling distracted, she’s experiencing success. Instead of frustration, she’s building independence.

This is what support looks like — not changing who a student is, but giving them tools to thrive as they are✨

Mentors make the difference.

Through patience, encouragement, and showing up consistently, mentors help students build confidence and independence. Small moments of support can lead to big breakthroughs—both in learning and self-belief. 💛

Did you know that most Coaching4Change mentors are not education majors? Students studying psychology, business, health sciences, STEM, and the arts all contribute to our mission.

What they share is a commitment to helping younger students succeed during the school day.

College mentors build strong relationships, support literacy and attendance, and help students talk through challenges. These experiences lead to stronger communication skills, greater leadership development, and a better understanding of how to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Every major brings something valuable to the classroom. If you want to make an impact and gain real experience, C4C is a great place to start.

Local businesses play a real role in supporting students and strengthening the community.

When companies partner with Coaching4Change, they help place trained college mentors inside classrooms where they support attendance, literacy, and emotional well-being.

This support reaches far beyond the school day. Students who feel seen show up more often, build confidence, and stay engaged in their education. College mentors also grow as leaders and return that experience back into the community as future professionals in business, teaching, healthcare, and other fields.

Partnership is powerful because it connects local youth, local colleges, and local businesses. If your organization wants to make a direct difference in the lives of students, we would love to connect.

At Coaching4Change, today’s mentors are tomorrow’s leaders.

By stepping into K–12 classrooms during the school day, our mentors gain hands-on experience in teaching, relationship-building, and leadership.

Many discover a passion for education and go on to careers as teachers, social workers, or youth advocates. Others take their skills into business, healthcare, or the arts — leading with empathy wherever they go.

The C4C ecosystem is simple but powerful:
K–12 students → College mentors → Future educators and professionals.

From classroom to career, this is how change multiplies.

At Coaching4Change, impact is more than a word — it’s measurable progress in schools and communities.

✔ 150 mentors supported over 3,000 students last year.

✔ 87% of teachers reported academic and social growth among their students.

✔ 60% of our mentors identify as BIPOC, reflecting the students they serve.

✔ 40% are first-generation college students.

Every number tells a story: about diversity, representation, opportunity, and growth.

This is the dual impact of Coaching4Change. Students learn, and college mentors build their own futures.

“Mentoring gives me leadership experience while making a real difference for younger students. I see myself in them, and it inspires me to keep going.”

This is the heart of Coaching4Change. Our mentors are college students from every major who commit to showing up during the school day to support K–12 students.

Along the way, they discover their own potential as leaders. Many choose careers in education.

All leave with skills that carry into any profession: communication, empathy, problem-solving, and confidence.

When mentors give their time, they also gain perspective, and our ecosystem creates a lasting impact for everyone involved.

Every student’s journey has checkpoints. For too many, those checkpoints become barriers.

📘 By 3rd grade, students who are not reading on grade level are four times less likely to graduate high school.

📅 By 6th grade, chronic absences and behavior issues predict whether students will drop out.

🎓 In college, persistence and completion remain the steepest hurdles for first-generation students.

This is what we call the “pipeline problem.”

Too many students are lost at each stage.

Coaching4Change is working to change that. Our trained, paid mentors step into classrooms during the school day to provide the relational, academic, and behavioral support students need to stay on track.

In every classroom, there are students who hold back — who avoid eye contact, who hesitate to raise their hand, who quietly hope no one calls on them.

This year, one of our C4C mentors began sitting with a 6th grader who fit that description. They worked together day after day, offering encouragement and small reminders that their ideas mattered.

The change was powerful. By mid-semester, that student wasn’t hiding in the back anymore; they were leading a small group project with confidence.

That’s the difference school-day mentoring makes. When college mentors join classrooms, they create space for students to be seen, heard, and inspired.
