A child doesn’t usually say, “I need help with emotional regulation.”
Instead, you see it.
A shutdown. A blow-up. A skipped class. A tough day that turns into a tough week.
That’s where Therapeutic Mentors at Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) make a real difference.
Therapeutic Mentors don’t just meet with youth in an office. They show up in real life-in schools, homes, and out in the community. They help youth ages 7-21 practice real-life skills in the moments they actually need them.
Our Therapeutic Mentors help youth build skills like:
👉Communication and emotional regulation
👉Self-management and problem-solving
👉Conflict resolution and healthier peer relationships
👉Confidence through activities they enjoy (sports, art, recreation, learning, job-ready skills, and more)
And they don't do it alone. At CCBC, we work as a team so families have consistent support.
Therapeutic Mentors get:
✔Trauma-informed supervision from licensed clinicians
✔Training in trauma, early childhood mental health, and child development
✔Practical, evidence-based skill-building strategies
If you’re in the Southeastern Massachusetts area (Taunton/New Bedford/Fall River/Attleboro/Brockton) and thinking about a long-term career in mental and behavioral health, CCBC is a great place to grow. We offer generous tuition reimbursement, mentorship, and free licensed clinical supervision if you’re working towards becoming a licensed clinician.
