Dee Dee Jackson Foundation

The DDJF is a non-profit organization that provides music therapy to children. With DDJF, you are never alone on your journey of hope and healing.

Together we are navigating our way through loss, grief or trauma with The Power of Love. The Dee Dee Jackson Foundation was founded by Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson who were born into the famous, musical Jackson family. They inherited their talent from their father Tito, but it was their mother Dee Dee who instilled the discipline to hone their craft. She was their best friend and their hero, a role

model who tirelessly donated her time and resources to a number of charitable causes. Tragically, Dee Dee was murdered when the brothers were still in their teenage and young adult years. Their mother’s death was shattering but with the help of family and friends, the brothers received the support and care they needed to endure this life-changing loss. From this experience, they realized the importance of helping a child cope with loss and grief, and are inspired to help other children in need. To honor their mother’s giving spirit, Taj, Taryll and TJ have created the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation to help children who are grieving a loss, whether the loss of health, a loved one, a home, or safety/stability in their lives.

Today, we celebrate and honor the beautiful life and legacy of Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson on her birthday. Her kindness, love and unwavering spirit continue to inspire us every day.

To our incredible DDJF community—thank you for joining us in remembering her, for carrying her light forward and for supporting our mission to bring comfort and healing to those who need it most. Through the work of her children and the foundation, Dee Dee’s legacy of love lives on, touching lives & strengthening hearts.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Together, we are making a difference, just as she did.

Dear DDJF Community,

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for the incredible love and support you’ve shown to Taj, Taryll, TJ and their families as they mourn the loss of their beloved father, Tito. This has been a deeply challenging time, and your warmth and compassion have provided them with much-needed comfort.

Right now, they are focusing on being fully present with their families, walking through this journey of grief together. With that in mind, The Power of Love Show will be on hiatus until 2025 to allow Taj and TJ the space to heal in their own time.

Words cannot express how much they appreciate every prayer, message, shared memory and condolence sent their way. Your support has been a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within the DDJF community.

We look forward to reconnecting in the new year with renewed strength. Until then, please continue to hold them close in your hearts, as they will surely hold you in theirs.

Remembering the incredible Tito Jackson, a legend whose music and kindness touched the hearts of so many.

His legacy lives on, not only in the melodies he shared with the world but also in the love he gave to his family.
