We are thrilled to announce two wonderful new additions to the NeshamaCare Board of Directors! Please join us in welcoming Jen Pennock and Sarah Portugal to our Board.

• Jen Pennock, Director of Development, brings years of experience as a physician, along with a background in fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer leadership. Her meaningful personal experience with NeshamaCare inspires her commitment to supporting its mission and makes her a natural fit for our team.
• Sarah Portugal, Director of Communications, brings 25 years of emergency and camp nursing leadership, along with deep expertise in shared governance, union leadership, and preceptorship. Her lifelong dedication to patient care, combined with her profound passion for NeshamaCare and Israel, will be invaluable as we expand our outreach and grow our impact.

As NeshamaCare grows, having strong, compassionate leadership ensures we can continue empowering Jewish women in Health Care.

Holding Memory, Honor, and Hope: Remembering October 7th
Three years after that terrible day, our hearts remain with the victims, the fallen, the survivors & their families, and all those whose lives were forever altered on October 7th. We carry their stories and their memories with sacred care.

As Jewish women in healthcare, our response to pain has always been purpose—to heal, to comfort, and to protect the sanctity of human life. Even as time passes, we lean into our calling in moments of darkness: bringing light, compassion, and Neshama into a hurting world.

Today, we stand united in grief, in resilience, and in an unbroken commitment to life and community.
