SNOW IS ADOPTED!!!! ❤️
The last pup standing from our “S” litter has found her forever family!
Snow arrived in NJ in March 2026, after a delayed Freedom Ride due to a parvo outbreak at our GA shelter. Snow's story before SoCo mirrored that of many pups who find their way to us. An unwanted litter, living with little to no human interaction and basically fending for themselves. Thankfully, they found their way to SoCo Rescue!
Snow and her siblings were very timid when they arrived, needing time, love, and lots of patience to learn that the world wasn't so scary after all. Snow may have been the most timid of all. At adoption events, she would freeze and plaster herself against the back of the enclosure, hiding behind any sibling she could find.
And this is where our SoCo village worked wonders - Snow went from Jen to Fallon to Ellen to Lori to Christina to Rich, and every single home helped her grow a little more confident with new people, dogs, and experiences. By our most recent adoption events, we were really seeing her blossom!
Several people have shown interest in Snow, but the fit just wasn't right. We kept waiting for HER people. Then, last weekend, lovely sisters came to our adoption event with their own dog, hoping to find him a buddy. They met several of our pups, but fell for Snow! They took her home as a foster-to-adopt, and after just ONE DAY, we received the sweetest video of the two dogs playing together.
And we just KNEW. THIS WAS IT. THIS WAS SNOW'S FAMILY! 🥹
This Saturday, they made it official, and Snow became PEANUT! She now has a loving family and a doggie sibling of her very own. We are OVER THE MOON!
We always say it takes a village, but Snow's story is the perfect example of what a rescue village can do when everyone works together. She was a harder-to-place dog who needed extra time, patience, and lots of different people willing to help her along the way. And every single one of them played a part in getting her here.
Jen, Fallon, Ellen, Lori, Christina, Rich, and all the volunteers who helped Snow at events and cheered her on along the way, THANK YOU. ❤️
Happy life, Peanut!
