📻 Storm Season Is Here. We’re Preparing Before the Call Comes. 🌪️

Hurricane season is unpredictable, and when disasters strike, reliable communication becomes critical.

Today we brought out and tested our Motorola UHF commercial radios to ensure our Crisis Serve team is ready for deployment. If cell towers become overloaded or fail, these radios allow our team to maintain communication during emergency operations.

Whether we’re assisting with search and rescue, disaster response, damage assessments, supply distribution, welfare checks, or supporting first responders and our local communities, dependable communications are one of the most important tools we carry.

Preparedness isn’t something you do after the storm—it’s something you do before it ever arrives.

We encourage everyone to use this time to check your emergency supplies, review your family preparedness plan, and make sure your communication devices are ready.

Together, we can be better prepared to serve those who need it most.

With an incoming winter storm threatening large portions of the country, Crisis Serve is actively monitoring conditions to determine which states may be impacted the most and where our team may be needed.

We are standing by and ready to deploy if called upon—whether to assist with Search & Rescue operations or help clear roadways so linemen can safely restore power to affected communities.

Please stay safe, follow guidance from local and state officials, and prepare as best you can for prolonged power outages and possible road closures. Preparedness saves lives.

Out in the woods again, continuing my WFR (Wilderness First Responder) training.
Every time I step into this environment, I’m reminded why constant training matters. When someone’s life depends on you, there’s no room for guessing — only preparation, skill, and teamwork.

At CrisisServe, we’re building one of the most capable, well-trained, and dependable Search & Rescue / disaster recovery teams in the country. That means long days in the woods, medical drills, scenario-based rescues, and a lot of sweat… but this is the work we love.

Every hour of training brings us one step closer to saving someone’s life. And that’s worth everything.

Sunday 5 am update on TD 9 shows no major changes. The forecast continues to show slow development today into Imelda as it moves north. A sharp turn to the right is still forecast as the system begins to be tugged east due to more powerful Hurricane Humberto. The good news with this one continues for the US.

Our organization's agility enables us to respond rapidly, without awaiting authorization. However, we rely on your support to make this possible. While government grants and funding can cover gear, training, and equipment, our mission budgets depend on public contributions.
