Mooney Summit XI

Many miles were traveled, states crossed, friendships made, ideas shared, and hopefully we all left more safer & proficient pilots, with new perspectives.
During this two day event, funds were raised for The Bill Gilliland Foundation to help the families of future downed Mooney pilots.

We’d like to thank Peter O. Knight Airport, Atlas Aviation, our sponsors & vendors, The Westin Waterside Hotel, The American Social Bar & Restaurant, the folks at the Tampa International TRACON & Control Tower, but mostly all of you for attending the summit and for following along during our annual event.

See you next year!
Mooney Summit XI is a wrap.

The Bill Gilliland Foundation has been established by the Mooney Summit, Inc. to provide emergency crisis intervention and financial assistance for downed Mooney Pilots’ immediate families. Your tax deductible donation will be used 100% to help those at the time of their greatest need. Unique in General aviation, Mooney owners are set apart by their caring and compassion thru the Bill Gilliland foundation.

As Angie Gilliland was speaking today she said “Bill often said he felt closer to God in the cockpit than in the church pew.”
She also wanted to emphasize, to pilots AND their families, is have your “Upon death checklist complete”, well before you need it. Practice the actions that need to take place. Print password backups for everything.
We are honored to have Angie and Sophia Gilliland in our audience.
