Get ready for some amazing art! 🎨 The DAW Theatre is about to be beautifully immortalized in a stunning mural. We can't wait to see how talented artists capture its spirit. This is such a wonderful way to celebrate our community's history and culture. We're looking forward to this vibrant addition to Tappahannock. It’s going to be a fantastic sight for everyone to enjoy!

We are excited that Tappahannock Artists Guild selected the building we occupy to add to their mural trail. We will share several snippets during the day of the progress…. Enjoy!

This Memorial Day, we visit movies that honor the bravery and sacrifice of military service members, featuring war dramas, historical stories, and inspirational true tales. Here are some Classic and Award-Winning Films! What are your favorites?

Saving Private Ryan (1998) – A visceral World War II drama following Captain John Miller and his squad as they search for a soldier whose brothers have died in combat, highlighting courage and sacrifice.

The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) – Focuses on three servicemen returning home from World War II, exploring the physical and psychological challenges of reintegration.

Hello friends of The DAW! This weekend is RivaFest! Despite the weatherman says there will be a little bit of rain, come and support the biggest comeback event in Tappahannock!

☀️🌦️ RivahFest Weather Update 🌦️☀️

We know many of you are keeping an eye on the weather forecast for RivahFest — and trust us, so are we! 👀

Right now, some forecast models are showing the possibility of a little drizzle on Saturday. As anyone who lives around here knows, forecasts can change quickly this far out, and we are continuing to monitor conditions closely.

But one thing is certain: 🎉 RivahFest is a RAIN OR SHINE event! 🎉

Of course, we are all hoping for plenty of sunshine, blue skies, and perfect festival weather ☀️🎶🦀 … but we are also planning ahead and preparing for the possibility of some rain too. Our team is working hard to make sure everyone can still have a safe, fun, and memorable day no matter what Mother Nature decides to do.

So don’t let the forecast scare you away. Toss a poncho in the car just in case, lace up your festival shoes, and come ready for:

🛍️ Amazing vendors
🦀 Crab races
🎡 Family fun
🎉 And the return of one of Tappahannock’s favorite traditions!
