A Prayer Walk for Future Generations
Taos, NM

7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Safety:
We will have two police escorts and an ambulance for the entirety of the day.
Family friendly, with zero tolerance for any drugs, alcohol or violence :)
There are Two Circuits:
13-mile circuit is from 7am-5:30pm, starting at Ranchos de Taos Plaza to El Prado and back again.
5-mile circuit is from 10am-2:30pm, starting at kit carson park Stage to El Prado and back again.
Full Schedule:
7AM-9:30AM: [Opening prayer and walk begins]
Francisco Church in Ranchos to Kit Carson Park Stage (4.2 miles)
10AM-12PM:
Kit Carson Park Stage to Farmhouse Cafe (2.4 miles)
12:00PM: OUTDOOR LUNCH AND CEREMONY
1PM-2:30PM:
Farmhouse Cafe to Taos Plaza (2.7 miles), Danza Azteca Prayer at Plaza
3PM-5:30PM:
Taos Plaza to San Francisco Church in Ranchos (4 miles)
Objective:
We are hoping for warriors who can pray with their feet by walking through Taos for the next generation and for the world. Taos and all the world need strong prayers right now. We believe that every prayer is heard and has a good effect if we do it with a good heart. The safety of each walker will be our highest priority. There will be community protectors and police escorts on call. This is a 100% drug and alcohol free event meant for all ages. Most of all, have fun! :)
Food and Refreshments:
Properly sanitized snacks and water to be served at a distance at the beginning and end of each leg.
Info Booths:
Informational booths of organizations working to support Taos Youth will be stationed at the beginning and end of each leg.
COVID-19 Precautions:
Social distancing and masks will be required for participation in this prayer walk. CDC guidelines encourage outdoor events for any gatherings, but still suggest social distancing and masking in such cases.
Accessibility Information:
Leg 2 will be wheel chair accessible for the first mile.
