Celebrate responsibly this Juneteenth weekend.

Taos County law enforcement will be conducting increased DWI patrols and checkpoints throughout the holiday. Plan ahead, drive sober, and help keep our community safe.

Providing alcohol to anyone under 21 is a Fourth Degree Felony.

đź”’ Keep Your Home Safe: Lock It Up! đź”’
Keeping opioids and prescriptions drugs and weapons locked away is key to keeping them out of the hands of youth.

âś… Lock it up:
• Use lockable bags/boxes with combo locks for secure storage..
• Cabinet/drawer locks are easy to install, with some even using biometric apps!

Be aware of your storage options—keeping kids and pets safe starts at home. Stay responsible and always lock it up when not in use! Visit Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, Taos office to get a free lockable bag!

Today is World Environment Day.

At RMYC, environmental stewardship looks like trail work, wildfire mitigation, restoration projects, invasive species removal, watershed work, and long days outside across New Mexico.

Grateful for the crews, staff, and partners putting in the work to keep these landscapes accessible and resilient for the future.

A huge thank you to the@lorfoundation for supporting the very first cohort of the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps Youth Council.

Over the past year, Youth Council members helped lead prevention and mental health awareness efforts, participating in community events, building peer connections, and creating space for youth voices to be heard.

This first cohort helped lay the foundation for what prevention programming can become at RMYC, and we are incredibly grateful to the for investing in youth leadership, resilience, and community-driven change!
