Taneytown Parks & Recreation City of Taneytown Parks and Recreation Services The parks, facilities, and programs are a very important part of the quality of life here in the city.

The City of Taneytown Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing recreational activities for all Taneytown residents. We are a department that is continually moving forward to upgrade facilities, maintain our existing facilities and preserve open space so our citizens will have the best recreation experience possible. The City of Taneytown has six functional public parks: Taneytown

Memorial Park, Roth Avenue Park, Taneytown High School Park & The Skate Park , Roberts Mill Park, Flickinger Park, and Bollinger Park. All of these parks are free of charge and open year round for all of our community to enjoy. All park hours of operation are Dawn till Dusk , with the exception of lighted fields. Our sports programs are second to none and are very well coordinated by numerous volunteers from our community. There are 7 ball diamonds, one football field, and an additional football field under construction. The parks feature numerous multi-purpose fields, 2 basketball courts, tennis courts, and an abundance of open space. We also provide numerous playgrounds that are maintained and upgraded and are very safe for everyone to use.
