Thinking that you broke me, physically and mentally.

For messing up my body beyond repair and shrugging me off when I needed legitimate care.

For making me have a love/hate relationship with you for the rest of my live.

Most importantly here is to you, who thought you’d break me down to nothing but a survivor, but instead I became a THRIVER!

June 12th is . This is to not only uplift and celebrate our sisters in arms who took that oath of enlistment, but to recognize the anniversary of the 1948 Women’s Armed Services Integration Act.
My local VA (Named for one of the women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country) had a recognition event for us.
To see the celebration of myself and other women , as well as resources from the VA and the community being shared and placed out in the open.
To the women veterans who came before me, and to the future women veterans, I promise to keep going.

Opening Day ⚾️ for the Miracle League Greater Flint and I had the honor of being a Buddy to these amazing individuals! They showed up and showed out!!! I can’t wait to be out on the field with them again throughout their season!

My “FrEe” schooling and healthcare actually has an open, accruing tab of:
• PTSD r/t MST (🍇)
•Complete hysterectomy due to complications from the MST before I was 34
• 2 … TWO… Autoimmune diseases
•PID and SI joint pain
• Osteoarthritis
•MDD
• COPD / Obstructive Sleep Apnea
•Migraines (on 2 different pills and 2 different injections)

I had to be at least 50, yes FIFTY, percent SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED to even get my healthcare, which is… ummm yeah… and at least 30% (it’s gone down to 10%, but was 30% when I was accepted) SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED to use VR&E.

I gave literal pieces of my body and mind away for my “fReE” things.

Just like they told me all my pelvic pain and irregular lab work was from my PTSD and to change my diet and go to therapy. I had CERVICAL CANCER and underwent a full hysterectomy.

A Jacksonville veteran says she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer months after doctors at the Jacksonville VA initially deemed a mass to be benign.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs today announced a new clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of methylenedioxymethamphetamine-assisted therapy, or MDMA-assisted therapy, for the treatment of severe mental health disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder and alcohol use disorder.

“We need an all-of-the-above strategy when it comes to improving mental health treatments, and under President Trump, that’s exactly what VA is working to deliver,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins. “This trial represents an important step in safely evaluating new approaches and innovations to treat Veterans with severe mental health conditions.”
