We extremely grateful for Mrs. Jen and the amazing effort, dedication, and time she has invested in tutoring our daughter, Marilena.
As many parents know, third grade can be a challenging year. Prior to working with Mrs. Jen, Marilena was reading below grade level at a level 2 and falling behind in several academic areas. Around October 2025, I began searching for tutors in the area who could help her improve academically. That is when Mrs. Jen reached out and began working with Marilena.
Since starting tutoring sessions with Mrs. Jen, Marilena has made significant progress in multiple areas of her schoolwork. During the first quarter of the school year, her grades were as follows: Reading – D, Writing – C, Social Studies – D, Mathematics – C, and Science – C. By the end of the third quarter, her grades had improved considerably: Reading increased to a C, Writing remained at a C, Social Studies improved and maintained a C, Mathematics increased to a B, and Science remained at a C.
While we have not yet received Marilena’s fourth quarter report card, we have already been informed that she will be promoted to fourth grade and is now reading at a Level 3. This accomplishment would not have been possible without Mrs. Jen's guidance and support. She has truly been the backbone of Marilena’s success and academic growth.
Marilena looks forward to her weekly tutoring sessions and is excited to continue working with Mrs. Jen. She enjoys the one on one attention and appreciates being able to bring her schoolwork for additional help when needed. Marilena is eager to continue improving her reading, writing, and spelling skills with Mrs. Jen's guidance and support. Mrs. Jen has been incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging not only with Marilena but also with her two year old brother, who often accompanies her to tutoring sessions and enjoys playing with the many toys available.
Honestly, I never imagined we would see this level of improvement. Although we worked with Marilena at home and saw gradual progress, her growth accelerated tremendously after she began tutoring with Mrs. Jen. The confidence she has gained in her abilities and the academic progress she has achieved are remarkable.
We cannot thank Mrs. Jen enough for her dedication, encouragement, and commitment to helping Marilena succeed. She has made a lasting impact on our family, and we will always be grateful for everything she has done.
