Some women wait for leadership opportunities. Others prepare themselves for them.

Applications are opening for the Leadership Bootcamp, a multi-session experience hosted by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Tampa Bay Area Chapter, and designed for women of purpose ready to strengthen their leadership voice, expand meaningful connections, and deepen their impact in the community.

Selected participants will commit to engaging in four leadership development sessions centered on dialogue, growth, and collaboration.

Program Sessions
April 25, 2026 — In Person
May 2, 2026 — Virtual
May 9, 2026 — Virtual
May 16, 2026 — In Person

Sessions will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Women accepted into the program are expected to participate in all four sessions.

In the latest Florida Youth Substance Abuse Survey, 20.1% of Hillsborough County students reported trying alcohol before the age of 13. That is not high school. That is middle school and younger.

Early exposure increases the risk of long-term substance use and addiction. That is why prevention, education, and honest conversations matter so much.

At NOPE Hillsborough, we are committed to reaching students early and giving them the information and support they need to make better decisions.

Youth use of synthetic cannabinoids climbed from 0.17% in 2021 to 0.26% in 2023, a 50% rise. These dangerous substances are often sold in gas stations and convenience stores, making them far too easy for youth to access. They can cause seizures, coma, and even death.

NOPE Hillsborough is working to raise awareness, educate families, and protect our community. We must be vigilant about where these products are sold and talk openly with our youth about the risks.

From powerful school presentations to the annual Candlelight Vigil honoring lives lost to overdose, NOPE brings real stories, resources, and hope to our community.

Together, we can reduce access and protect the next generation.
