Our Rotary club volunteers meal deliveries for Meals on Wheels in the New Tampa area.

5-21-2026: We had a large group of new members at our Rotary Club of New Tampa Fireside. The Fireside is a way of sharing many aspects of our club and Rotary International that new members need to learn about. Thanks so much to Gary Lefebvre who opened his house to us and cooked amazing meat on the grill! Also thanks to Karen, Jozsef and Al for coordinating the Fireside.

5-15-2026: At the Rotary Club of New Tampa breakfast meeting, our speaker was DeAndra Bolden, who is a Development Manager with Metropolitan Ministries (MetMin) based in Tampa. MetMin is more than a nonprofit organization in Tampa, it is an institution. We’ll learn more about its current and upcoming programs. Our club volunteers and supports the MetMin holiday tent at St. James here in Tampa Palms.

Dennis Loomis received his Paul Harris Fellow plus 6 award. Congratulations Dennis!

Lastly, the kids at Quail Hollow Elementary School created this personal thank you card for the volunteer hours and funds we provided for their butterfly garden.

5-8-2026: At the Rotary Club of New Tampa breakfast meeting our speaker was Thami Ettouati, who is the clinic manager for the Pioneer Foundation. This nonprofit foundation’s mission is providing free medical clinics and medication assistance to those without access to medical care. He shared with us the clinic’s mission and the impact of Pioneer Medical Foundation in our community.

Also Ken Kumar was inducted this morning as a new member into our club. Congratulations Ken!

The nonprofit Pioneer Medical Foundation’s mission is providing free medical clinics and medication assistance to those without access to medical care. Thami Ettouati, foundation clinic manager, will tell us more about their Bridge the Gap health fair, the H.E.L.P. vans and other efforts our club has supported through our long-term partnership with this important community organization.
