Launched eight years ago with a show by Have Gun, Will Travel, the rolling concert series programmed by the Gasparilla Music Foundation puts homegrown artists on a TECO Streetcar that runs between Centennial Park in Ybor City and the Fort Brooke Garage across the street from Hattrick’s on Franklin Street.

Step back in time to celebrate Ybor City’s vibrant history! 🕰️ Join Hillsborough College for a special Historic Marker Unveiling and Dedication Ceremony honoring the 1929 United Secret Orders Hall, which later served as La Benéfica Española and the Centro Español Clinic. Discover the legacy of benevolence and community building that shaped this landmark, including the decades of service by Dr. Carlos and Delia Barbas. After the outdoor unveiling, head up to the second floor for "IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK," a special presentation followed by a reception. We can't wait to see you there! ✨

✨ What a night to remember. ✨

Last Tuesday evening we had the privilege of hosting the Century Club Party — a celebration of the buildings that define who we are as a community, and the people who fight to keep them standing.

From The Tampa Theatre to Tampa Union Station, from The J.C. Newman Cigar Factory to The Lee Building (home to The Archives and our very own Century Award winner 🏆), the evening was a living testament to why historic preservation matters. These aren't just old structures — they are the soul of our urban fabric, the anchors of our neighborhoods, and the irreplaceable witnesses to Tampa Bay's story.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us: our honorees, our partners at Tampabay Community Design Center and every advocate in the room who understands that the past is not behind us, it is all around us.

Introducing… The Century Club

TCDC wants to joyfully recognize the structures that have survived countless adversity—from hurricanes and termites to zoning changes and decades of changing tastes—and to honor the beauty, longevity, and unique identity these places bring to our community.

To be eligible for inclusion, your building or house must be built in 1926 or earlier … and that’s all. There are no detailed preservation standards. We think it is remarkable that your structure has survived this long, and we believe it is worth celebrating.
To help launch the new program, we are inviting the first 50 applicants to a kick-off party.
