This October, we’re celebrating 100 years of H.B. Plant High School — a century of students, teachers, traditions, friendships, achievements, and unforgettable Panther memories! 🖤🐾💛

From the first students who walked through Plant’s doors in 1927 to the Panthers filling its halls today, generations have helped create the history and traditions that make Plant so special. 😌

Throughout the month, we’ll be taking a trip through Plant’s past as we count down to our Centennial Football Game on Friday, October 30!

Follow along as we share historic photos, fun facts, Panther traditions, famous alumni, memories from across the decades, and a few things you may not know about our school’s incredible history!

But this celebration isn’t just about looking back. It’s about celebrating the generations of Panthers who made Plant what it is today — and the students who will carry that legacy into the next 100 years. 🐾

Panthers, we want to hear from you!

👇 Drop your graduation year in the comments and tag a fellow Panther who should be following along this month!

🖤💛 Here’s to 100 years of Panther Pride! 🖤💛
Once a Panther, Always a Panther.

Strong schools are the foundation of a strong community. The Half-Penny Promise has helped Hillsborough County Public Schools make critical investments in the places where our students learn every day—from safer facilities and technology to updated roofs and air conditioning.

Hillsborough Education Foundation believes every student deserves a safe, supportive learning environment. Vote Yes on Referendum 3 to keep the Half-Penny Promise working for Hillsborough County students.

YOU’RE INVITED: We are hosting a series of town hall meetings for our community to learn more about the Half-Penny Promise referendum, which will appear for renewal on the November ballot.

The town halls will provide information about the referendum, including projects completed, ongoing investments in school facilities, and what reauthorization would mean for students and schools in the future.

Since voters approved the Half-Penny Sales Tax in 2018, HCPS has invested more than $1.326 billion in school improvements, with more than $716 million awarded to local businesses. These investments have supported critical upgrades across our district, including air-conditioning replacements, roof renovations, safety and security upgrades, and other essential infrastructure projects.

Town Hall Dates:

Meet the Plant High School Academic Foundation Board! 🖤💛

Behind the Foundation is an incredible group of parents and community members who volunteer their time, talents, and energy to support Plant High School and create opportunities for our students.

Together, we work to fund programs, resources, campus improvements, and initiatives that help Plant continue to thrive.

And because getting an entire board to submit headshots is apparently harder than fundraising… 😂 a few of our wonderful faces are missing from this photo, but they are very much part of this team (and equally loved!). 🖤💛

We’re excited for the year ahead and grateful to be part of a community that believes so strongly in investing in our students and their future.

People. Opportunity. A Brighter Tomorrow. 🔑
